About

Matt Quinn is a partner at Lewis & Roberts.  He is a tenacious jury trial lawyer who has litigated and tried cases for over fifteen years.  Matt achieved great results in high-stakes cases involving catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, complex business disputes, defective tire litigation, products liability, class actions, complex financial fraud, and numerous other cases.  He represents clients in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate court levels, and he regularly tries cases before a jury.

Matt regularly obtains multi-million-dollar recoveries for his clients.  His passion is for representing clients who have been injured or damaged because of the negligence or wrongdoing of others, and he dedicates himself to vindicating his clients and their rights. Indeed, Matt’s clients quickly learn that he will fight tirelessly—and fearlessly—to make sure that they receive the compensation to which they are entitled.

Throughout his career, Matt has dedicated himself to preparing and taking cases to a jury.  He prides himself in always being thoroughly prepared and paying scrupulous attention to the details of every case.  Matt is zealous and he fights.  He has consistently received awards from his peers recognizing his litigation skills.  Matt’s reputation is for working long hours, caring deeply about every case and client, and mastering all the details of a case.

Selected Recoveries

Matt’s recoveries on behalf of clients are too many to list, but the following represents a few recent examples:

  • Matt represented a client who was shot as the result of the inadequate security practices of an apartment complex. Matt recovered $15,000,000 for the client’s injuries.

  • In a very tragic case, Matt represented the family of a young man who was involved in the sport of racing. As part of this hobby, the young man used nitrous oxide to give race car engines a boost in horsepower. One evening, the young man was transferring the nitrous oxide when the “mother cylinder” exploded and killed the young man. Matt filed a wrongful death action and recovered $7.5 million on behalf of the young man’s family.

  • Matt represented a client who was an avid walker. Early one morning, the client was walking along the side of the road when he was hit by a truck. Matt recovered $2.5 million for the client’s injuries.

  • In another case, Matt represented a group of restaurant owners who filed a civil action alleging that the condition of the leased premises caused the restaurant’s failure. He recovered over $1 million for his clients.

  • Matt also represented a group of land developers in a dispute over the development rights to certain land. The developers obtained over $2.5 million in a settlement.

  • When a jet ski exploded and injured a client, Matt conducted an investigation and discovered that the jet ski was subject to a recall. Following litigation, Matt recovered $750,000 for his client.

  • Matt represented a family whose son was killed when a defective tire failed and caused the son’s tractor-trailer to veer off the highway and collide with a tree. After filing a wrongful death action, Matt recovered $1.75 million from the manufacturer of the tire.
